Ubiquitous intelligence warrants decision making capability to devices. Rule execution capability with facility to change rules in run time is to be instilled in a process node. Webyfy has created Intelligent Sensor / Actuator Processor and Interconnector (PHYSC) capable of intelligently collating sensors data and controlling actuators.

In a wired up network of sensors and actuators, induced and stray voltages due to surges are significant. Optical isolation with independent, isolated power supply is a must for safe operation. Webyfy has created multichannel digital, analog, serial optical isolation input modules and also for isolating outputs.

Ideally, IOT system should be independent in its capability to deliver its functionalities without any external dependence. The controllers should have intelligence to execute rules and escalate automatically as needed. The system should also have capability to store the data and transmit as and when the communication is established. Automatic self-correction and high fault tolerance is also a must for such systems.

Ubiquitous Intelligence warrants intelligence in last mile sensor data collation devices or at best in the sensors or actuators themselves. Configurability of the embedded software in the sensor hub plays a critical role in making it intelligent. The configurations should also be driven from “outside” without need for any additional software effort.

When managing distributed systems, it is critical to make a system at a location independent, in its functionality delivery without assistance from the Remote monitoring station. At the same time, it should allow remote over ride and report to remote monitoring stations.
